SWIS Africa Launches OASOS Student Empowerment Project

ree

We are excited to announce the relaunch of our Student Empowerment Project at Oladipo Alayande School of Science (OASOS), Ibadan, the alma mater of our co-founders, Abosede Salami and Samuel Ogunsola.

The project kicks off on October 10, 2025, in celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child, with an inspiring alumni event featuring distinguished OASOS graduates, Tiamuyu Rachael, Adekunle Olawunmi and Joel Phoebe.

Beyond mentorship, the initiative will:

  • Provide students with free access to WAEC and JAMB tutorials through our partnership with SabiScholar.

  • Sponsor students by covering their WAEC and JAMB registration fees.

  • Recognize excellence by awarding certificates to the Top 3 female students with the highest JAMB scores.

  • Explore future digital training in web design, coding, and data analysis, leveraging the school’s ICT Community Center.

With support from the Oyo State Ministry of Education and coordination by our Ibadan project lead, Ikechukwu Victor, this initiative aims to inspire, empower, and open doors of opportunity for OASOS students—setting the stage to expand to other schools across Oyo State.

Together, we are shaping the next generation of leaders in science, technology, and beyond!
