SWIS High School Empowerment Program

SWIS Africa has received yet another partnership with SabiScholar to provide an empowerment program for the high school students in Nigeria. We will be launching the project at OASOS (Oladipo Alayande School of Science) having received formal permission from the Oyo State Ministry of Education to implement this initiative.

This project is a heartfelt step for SWIS Africa since the co-founders, Abosede Salami and Samuel Ogunsola, are both proud alumni of OASOS and are glad to have the opportunity to give back to the institution that shaped them.

WHY THIS PROGRAM?

The program is an initiative that arose from the fact that many students in public schools across Nigeria, including OASOS, face limitations in access to mentorship, quality academic support, and career guidance. Some also struggle with financial barriers that prevent them from taking critical examinations like WAEC and JAMB.

SWIS Africa seeks to bridge this gap by leveraging the power of community, alumni networks, and digital tools to inspire, support, and empower students at OASOS to achieve academic success and explore meaningful future careers

OBJECTIVES OF THE INITIATIVE

  1. Celebrate the International Day of the Girl Child by hosting a mentorship and storytelling session featuring successful OASOS alumni.

  2. Provide free access to high-quality WAEC and JAMB tutorials for 50 academically promising but underserved students.

  3. Support >10 students with financial aid to register for WAEC and JAMB examinations.

Monitoring & Evaluation

SWIS Africa will maintain a feedback and reporting system to assess impact across each phase. Key metrics include:
